NEW Class - Finding Your Family Compass - A Book Journey

FREE CLASS For ALL parents of children ages birth through teens!

Relax and enjoy some great discussion with fellow parents centered around a current parenting book. You do not need to be an avid reader to participate in this opportunity! This class is for all parents of infants to teens who want to dig a little deeper into the parenting journey through study of Tim Elmore's highly acclaimed book "12 Huge Mistakes Parents Can Avoid". The goal of this class is to examine the bigger picture of parenting as we nurture and guide our children toward a healthy, happy and productive adulthood.

An excerpt from the book - "Our constant caving begins to foster a constant craving in them. They want clarity. With boundaries unclear, they nee more direct attention from Mom or Dad. Unwittingly, we actually breed insecurity and instability in our kids. This may sound strange, but consistency may be your best friend as a parent because it aids in your authority and in your child's development."

A licensed parent educator leads this discussion. Limited childcare is available for a nominal fee and registration is required. This class is co-sponsored by Family Education Center of Wright County and, as a result, is FREE. Books will be available either through checkout from the D-C Early Childhood Parenting Library or for purchase at a reduced rate.
Family Education Center of Wright County does not discriminate against any person because of race, sex, color, national origin, age or disability.
